Harry Potter™ Popcorn Party

When popped in the Harry Potter™ Signature Round Dutch Oven or the Quidditch™ Signature Round Dutch Oven it’s transformed from an ordinary recipe to a dazzling one. The recipe for Dutch Oven Popcorn isn’t a mystery and is a fun culinary adventure for the whole family.

3 tablespoons high-heat oil

1/3 cup kernels

Optional: 

Sweet Things

Jelly beans in the colors of the Hogwarts™ houses

Chocolate Frogs, pop rocks and mini marshmallows

Jelly Slugs, gummies and licorice

Seasoning Things

Ranch, taco or seafood seasoning mix

Parmesan or cheddar cheese

Cinnamon sugar

Crunchy Things

Square cheddar crackers, pretzels and corn nuts

Crispy cereal mix and pretzels

Wasabi peas and nuts

Add 3 tablespoons high-heat oil to a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Drop 3 test kernels in the oil, cover with the lid, and wait until you hear the kernels pop. Remove the test kernels once popped.

Add 1/3 cup kernels, cover, and shake the Dutch oven occasionally to prevent burning. Reduce the heat to medium-low when you hear the kernels start to pop rapidly, and remove the pot from the heat when the popping slows to 2-3 seconds between pops
