2

INGREDIENTS

1/2 cup butter, softened

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/3 cup granulated sugar

2 large egg yolks

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

2/3 cup dark chocolate chunks

Vanilla ice cream

RECIPE NOTES

Sweeten your next date night with this delectable dessert a deux. It strikes a sweet balance between playful and romantic — try it after a special meal, topped with your favorite ice cream.

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350°F.

In a small bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar with a handheld mixer until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add egg yolks, milk and vanilla, and beat until creamy, about 2 minutes longer. Add the flour, baking soda and salt, and stir with a spatula just until combined. Add the chocolate chunks and stir again just until incorporated.

Spread cookie dough into the Cast Iron Heart-Shaped Skillet until 2/3 full. Do not overfill. Bake in preheated oven for 17- 19 minutes, or until the edges are puffed and slightly crisp, and the center is still gooey. Remove skillet from the oven and serve cookie warm, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Note that any extra cookie dough can be baked alongside the skillet. Scoop tablespoons of cookie dough onto a cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
