Freshly baked bread is a true pleasure and treat, especially when baked in the Le Creuset Bread Oven. And while the best way to enjoy a fresh from the oven boule is to simply dot it with butter or dip it into extra virgin olive oil, we also find bread to be a delicious blank canvas that is begging to be spread with all manner of toppings – from creamy, homemade hummus to gooey, warm melted cheese, here are some of our favorite spread and dip recipes for bread.

Hot Crab and Shrimp Dip

Three kinds of cheese plus crab and shrimp make this dip a crowd-pleaser, especially when served alongside plenty of toasted bread and crudités. With a flavor reminiscent of Southern-style pimento cheese, it’s simple enough for a casual gathering but also sophisticated enough for the holiday table. Bake the dip in our dinnerware collection Soup Bowls – just like our baking dishes, they effortlessly go from the oven straight to the table for serving. The excellent heat retention of our stoneware will keep the dip warm throughout the meal.

Party Dip Trio

Mezze Platter with Hummus and Smashed Cucumbers

Spicy Molten Korean Cauliflower Dip

A perfect blend of sweet, spicy, salty and umami flavors, this dip from our chef friends at Momofuku is just what you need to serve to friends on game day. It uses silken tofu and mozzarella cheese to create its cheesy, scoopable texture, and Korean gochujang for a spicy kick. Serve it piping hot from the oven in a Braiser garnished with fresh scallions and fried onions for a crunchy bite. The dip is vegetarian, but can also be made vegan by subbing more whipped tofu on top for the cheese.
