Look around: tight buds are beginning to unfurl, green is returning to the world and the earliest flowers are already in bloom. The stage is set for spring. As a colorful pioneering spirit, we often start the search for inspiring new cookware colors by looking to the natural world. The ever-changing shifts in nature track with the shifts in our collective mood and desires. The world is waking up and so are we. Hungry for color, we’re bringing warm, lively, fashion-forward hues like sun-soaked Olive and charming Chiffon Pink into the mix as a part of our Spring Shades Palette. This complementary blend of Olive, Chiffon Pink, Artichaut, White, Meringue and Licorice can be demure or daring, sweet or sophisticated depending on how you mix it. It’s the perfect palette to step up your spring style.
As we emerge into the new season, our Spring Shades are perfect for brightening and balancing explorations with pattern, florals, and palette. Celebrity fashion stylist and TV personality Brad Goreski is no stranger to playing with pattern and palette. His years of experience in fashion have given him a unique perspective on color, so we chatted with him about spring trends and our latest green-yellow hue, Olive. Sophisticated yet lively, Olive anchors our Spring Shades palette—and inspired three fun ways to bring fresh life into your kitchen.

“Olive is the right green for this moment because it is almost like a neutral color— it looks good on everyone. It is easy to pair with other colors and dress up and down. I like to accent Olive with a really bright pop of color, along with plenty of fresh flowers in the house.”

Flower Power
What would spring be without flowers? Blooms of all colors, kinds, and sizes make this season one to savor and as Brad notes “adding color into your home is a great way to freshen it up.” You can bring the beauty of spring blossoms inside by setting your table or styling your kitchen in Artichaut, Chiffon Pink, and White—the colors of early flowers, from stems to petals. Use Artichaut as your base color and accent with Chiffon Pink and White. Amplify the garden effect by using fresh flowers as a focal point. Clippings from your yard work quite well, or a bouquet of simple blooms in a Dutch Oven or flowers in an Herb Planter can be distributed on a tablescape for maximum impact.
Pattern Play
“For me, spring is all about color! Adding color into your home is a great way to freshen it up,” says Brad Goreski. Use spring as an opportunity to try new recipes, taste new flavors, and mix color and pattern in ways you haven’t before. Start by pairing Olive with Chiffon Pink. The green and pink combo is playful and lighthearted, complementing each other in a fresh way. Echo the gold knobs that accent our Chiffon Pink and Olive cookware pieces with other warm-toned, high-shine accessories, such as gold napkin rings or brass candlesticks. For even more visual impact, layer in multi-colored, multi-patterned textiles. As you plunge into color and pattern, just be sure to keep Olive as your foundational color—its warm, welcoming green pairs beautifully with a wide range of colors and styles.
Chic Tweak
Pink and black can be a surprisingly chic combo. In fact, we only have to look to iconic French fashion houses for examples of how soft pink and striking black set the stage for chic. Brad says that he is also “seeing a lot of olive green with black accents” in fashion as well for an edgy vibe. You can bring some of that sophisticated style into the kitchen by pairing Chiffon Pink or Olive with Licorice. The key is to balance the two primary hues with a classic neutral like Meringue to keep the pairing feeling elegant instead of elementary. Lovers of minimal kitchen design may welcome this palette approach—it only takes a few subtle splashes of Chiffon Pink or Olive to breathe new spring life into a sleek, black and white or soft neutral kitchen.
