      ENAMELED CAST IRON

Since 1925, Le Creuset cast iron has been recognized for its strength and durability. Cast individually in sand molds, then hand-inspected by French artisans, each piece represents a rich heritage and continues a tradition of lasting, authentic design.

      Heat Retention

Cast iron distributes heat slowly and evenly over the entire vessel, making it ideal for all forms of cooking, whether slow-cooking, roasting, searing, stir-frying or baking.

      Smooth Interior Enamel

The glass-like finish in our ovens and braisers promotes caramelization, resists staining and prevents sticking to make cleanup easy.

      Black Interior Enamel

The black interior of our skillets is specially formulated for high-temperature cooking, and does not require seasoning.

      Comments about Le Creuset Saucier:

Use this pan more than all the other Le Creuset that I have. I cook vegetables in it a lot: most of my vegetables are fresh, and they cook evenly, and with the lid on it, the liquid doesn't cook away. Very pleased with all of my purchases. The first time I cooked with it, I knew that I was going to love this cookware. Would recommend this over any of their products. The bakeware is great also.

        Comments about Le Creuset Saucier:

I own quite a bit of Le Creuset and this is the product I reach for the most. It does so many things well and the size is great. I often have it going in conjunction with a larger pot. It's a sauce master and great for cooking many types of sides (rice, veggies, etc). If you have a family of 4 or less, it's a great product that's big enough to handle many things, but not so big and bulky that it's not worth getting out due to the workout.

        Comments about Le Creuset Saucier:

I love my Le Creuset Dutch ovens. Those will last a long time. Unfortunately for this saucier pan I noticed some scratches despite me using only wooden spoons or silicone spatulas. Had to return. Hopefully Le creuset will hold up their end of the lifetime warranty. But other than that it was a great saucier until the scratches. Great size for making sauces, soups for family of four. I used it when I wanted to make a one pot meal for myself.

        Comments about Le Creuset Saucier:

I've got many Le Creuset cast iron pieces in my kitchen. For some reason, this one has not held up--disapointing. The enamel coating on the pot's interior is flaking / chipping off. I've never had this problem with my other enameled cast iron pieces. I recently visited my local Le Creuset store to see if I could get a replacment there -- apparently I have to mail it off for replacement, which is obvioulsy a big inconvenience when your having to ship cast iron.
